Airsoftpro aluminium silent piston head with bearing

Durable aluminium funnel-shaped piston head. Its construction was improved by moving the O-ring further back from the impact side making the impact side more durable. The majority of manufacturers includes plastic piston heads with their airsoft guns, those unfortunately tend to crack under pressure. This aluminium piston head provides enough durability and you can combine it with a majority of airsoft sets. Suitable for springs M100 – M130.

During the shooting the piston compresses the air in the cylinder. This compressed air is pushed through six intake holes on the front side of the piston head. These lead to underneath an O-ring which expands due to the higher pressure which leads to a better compression. The frontal impact side is rubberized. This piston head is not suitable for use with a flat cylinder head. Optimal usage is with a funnel-shaped cylinder head we also offer.

During its compression the spring has a tendency of rotating around its axis. After the installation the bearing of this piston head is set inside the piston with the spring leaning onto it making its axis rotation easier. The friction is lower and the spring is still released fast while shooting. The bearing, the special shim and the screw are all included in the package.

The ideal combination is a piston head and a spring guide both with ball bearings. The spring is then free-floating reducing the friction to a minimum.

To better secure the piston head while shooting the airsoft gun we highly recommend applying a threadlocker after the installation.
