The L85 was introduced into the British Army in 1985 as a result of many years of development of the Bullpup weapon. As is customary with modern weapons, a whole system of weapons was created with a common basis: an assault rifle, a support weapon, a carbine and a training rifle.

This weapon is a replica of the LSW version designed as a fire support weapon. The weapon eventually failed as a light machine gun because it could not provide a sufficient volume of fire. However, thanks to its high accuracy, it was kept in service as a DMR. At first glance, it is distinguished by a long barrel with an auxiliary frame with a bipod, a different shape of the handguard and an auxiliary grip behind the magazine well. The carrying handle is removable and under it is a mount for optics.

Currently one of the most advanced airsoft guns on the market. A special reinforced gear box together with a metal spring guide allows setting of 3 levels of weapon power without the use of tools and spring replacement. The metal body and polymer furniture are of high quality and look very good.
